New South Wales schools are back a week early. The crisis cabinet has just decided to continue the program. October 18: Kindy, Grade 1, Grade 12. October 25: Grade 2, Grade 6, Grade 11 November 1: Remaining grades. Only fully vaccinated teachers are allowed to return.
All teachers must be vaccinated before returning to work. NSW Prime Minister Gladys Bereciklian announced the decision this morning, saying they would work to get children back into class as early as possible.
NSW has registered 863 new local cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and fifteen people have died from the disease.
