The principle activity of the company is to undertake production and importation of sugar. Establishment of the Company is in line with the implementation of the second five year development plan (FYDP II) aiming to ensure that Tanzania becomes industrialized and middle income economy by the year 2025.

JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer (1 Post)

Job Summary

Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, develop, and test electrical devices and equipment, including communications systems, power generators, motors and navigation systems, and electrical systems for automobiles.

Duties of the Electrical Engineer are:

  • Designing electrical systems or their components;
  • Diagnosing and solving electrical problems with products or systems;
  • Installing, servicing, calibrating and updating electrical systems;
  • Repairing or replacing faulty electrical parts of a product;
  • Developing and testing electrical system prototypes or simulated events and making modifications if required;
  • Contributing to the compilation of user instructions;
  • Conducting inspections to ensure that products or systems are in a safe and usable condition; and
  • Perform any other lawful duties assigned by Supervisors.

JOB TITLE: Structural Engineer (1 Post)

Job Summary

This position requires thorough knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques. Duties of the Structural Engineer:

  • Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria;
  • Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices;
  • Preparation and/or modification of Civil/Structural engineering calculations;
  • Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, and layout;
  • Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience;
  • Layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead engineer;
  • Responsible for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified;
  • Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters;
  • Develop probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department;
  • Direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities;
  • Co-ordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc;
  • Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area;
  • Capable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environment; and
  • Perform any other lawful duties assigned by Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering,
  • Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering will be an added advantage;
  • Experience of 5 years with knowledge in civil and/or structural engineering;
  • Ability to use StaadPro or equivalent finite element analysis software;
  • Should have attended training on Technical Operations Procedures and Manpower Development Programe;
  • Working knowledge of Auto Cad or other drafting software; and
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.

JOB TITLE: Pump Operator (4 Posts)

Job Summary

This person Operates Irrigation Water Pumps within the estate He/she will be reporting to Irrigation Assistant

Duties of Pump Operator:

  • Operates Irrigation Water pumping equipment within the estate;
  • Reads flow meters and gauges to regulate equipment according to water consumption and demand;
  • Inspects pumping equipment to detect malfunctions, such as pump leaks or worn bearings;
  • Performs minor Repairs and lubricates equipment, using hand tools;
  • Records data, such as utilization of equipment, power consumption, and water output in log;
  • Adhere to working environment safety measures by wearing specialized PPE; and
  • Any other duties as assigned by his/her seniors.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Holder of Trade Test certificate in Pump Operation/Plumbing coupled with provable on job training;
  • At least 1 year experience on similar role;
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use PPE; and
  • Deftness and attention to detail.

JOB TITLE: Design/ Draughtsman Engineer (1 Post)

Job Summary

His/her role is to create technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations and work with professionals in their field, such as scientists, architects and engineers, who provide the product or structure’s details.

 Duties of the Design/ Draughtsman Engineer are:

  • Planning, organizing, leading, coaching and counselling;
  • Provide technical advice to the employer;
  • Discipline manpower;
  • Designing and drawing;
  • Set goals;
  • Make decisions;
  • Report writing;
  • Keeping technical drawings and maintenance records;
  • Compile and control budget;
  • Planning and designing project and maintenance schedules;
  • Monitor coordinating project and technical operations and the overhaul of machinery;

Qualification and Experience:

  • Holder of a Bachelor of Science degree or advanced diploma in engineering;

  • Be Physically and mentally fit to execute industrial activities;
  • Be able to establish a good labour relations;
  • Have knowledge on Safety procedures; and

JOB TITLE: Road Technician (1 Post)

Job Summary

The person will assist the Cultivation Supervisor in planning and execution of repair and maintenance of estate roads.

Duties of the Road Technician:

  • Assist on preparation of annual road planning and budgeting;
  • Planning activities of machinery and equipment for road works (Excavators, Bulldozers, Graders, Compactors, Tipper Lorries etc.);
  • Supervise repair and maintenance of estate roads;
  • Carry out annual road condition and inventory survey;
  • Ensuring regular road routine maintenance;
  • Conduct materials test and analysis, using tools and equipment, and applying engineering knowledge;
  • Prepare reports and document road works activities and data;
  • Monitoring and control of performance of machineries and subordinates;
  • Ensure safety at workplace are adhered; and

JOB TITLE: Factory Logistics cum Secretary: Office Assistants

Job Summary
Office assistants handle organizational and clerical support tasks. This may include organizing files, scheduling appointments, writing copy, proofreading, receiving guests and more, depending on the company and its needs.

Duties of Factory Logistics cum Secretary are:

  • Handling incoming calls and other communications;
  • Managing filing system;
  • Recording information as needed;
  • Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing;
  • Perfoming general office clerk duties and errands;

  • Creating, maintaining and entering information into database;

JOB TITLE: Agronomist-Soil (1 post) Job Summary

The person will assist the Senior Agronomist to develop and implement sustainable Agronomic practices with the eventual aim to cover the gap between the actual and attainable yield potential for each field. He/She will report to Senior Agronomist.

Duties of Agronomist-Soil:

  • Supervising proper cane husbandry for the estate through use of good tillage and ratoon mechanical operations;
  • Initiating and managing all the field soil trials under agronomy that include data collection, analysis and report writing;
  • Collect soil samples for analysis, conduct trials and establish an appropriate agro- chemicals and Fertilizer application rates;
  • Collaborating with Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute – Mlingano soil test and leaf analysis for fertilization recommendation;
  • Providing the Agriculture department personnel with technical expertise, advise and support in improvement of soil health;
  • Prepare soil maps based on soil texture, consistence, fertility and infiltration rates for easy field management;
  • Propose soil management practices for proper crop development; and
  • Perform any other lawful duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Holder of Bsc. degree in Agronomy;
  • More than 3years experience with sugarcane husbandry;
  • Research oriented with experience in agronomic experiments, trial work and evaluation;
  • Good business acumen and agricultural expertise, with ability to anticipate, interpret and respond to changes impacting on the functional area;
  • Must be proficiency with computer especially MS word, Excel and outlook;

Job Summary

  • Evaluate yields from each field and propose the replant program as per replant policy;
  • Managing the seed cane production activities (multiplication plots, Hot WaterTreatment and nursery);
  • Advice on proper cane variety to be used based on their performance such as sucrose content, soil type water availability and their resistance to pests and diseases;
  • Collaborating with Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute-Kibaha in collection of data regarding pests and disease research on the estate;
  • Regularly inspect and assess the pests and diseases situation on the estate and Establish a disease control program;
  • Maintain the meteorological station to ensure that data of high quality are collected, recorded, analyzed and archived; and
  • Perform any other lawful duties assigned by his/her supervisors.


Qualification and Experience:

  • Holder of Bsc. in Agronomy/Agricultural General;
