You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to contribute to restore CAF’s reputation and elevate the organization to the highest international standards? CAF is looking to recruit a Legal Affairs and Compliance Director.

Responsibilities:

Represent and advise CAF on all legal matters, support the work of the organization, and manage the full range of legal activities.
Renew CAF’s contractual agreements with its sponsors and partners.
Ensure the application of CAF’s statutes, regulations and disciplinary codes and keep them up to date.
Advise and assist CAF in disputes and cases of its members before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Manage disputes related to CAF Member Associations in collaboration with FIFA.
Manage the accompaniment of Member Associations and African regional organizations in the compliance of their regulations with CAF requirements.
Inform and advise CAF officials and staff on their rights and obligations.
Oversee and monitor the implementation of the compliance program.

Requirements (profile):

Master’s degree in law, Bar admission and proven experience in a law firm.
Ideally experience as a Legal Director in an international organization or corporation.
Experience in sports law would be an asset.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); fluency in another official CAF language (French or Arabic) is an asset.
Analytical skills.
Proactive and solution oriented.
Strong sense of accountability, responsibility, and integrity.
Good organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
