ActionAid started its operation in Tanzania in 1998. ActionAid Tanzania (AATZ) envisions seeing Tanzania without poverty, injustice and inequality in which every person enjoys sustainable development and a right to a life of dignity. Currently, AATZ is looking for a qualified, experienced and self-motivated person to fill in the following posts:
Position Title: Inspirator on Gender Responsive Public Service and Tax Justice for Mafia Local Rights Program
Roles:
- Influencing government to review, amend and enforce legislatives, systems and institutions
- To ensure improved generation of domestic resources for gender responsive public services funding.
Required skills & core competences
- Community mobilization & organization skills.
- Budget and policy analysis skills in respect of gender responsive public services, Fundraising skills
- Leadership skills, Project management skills
- Movement building Tax justice experience especially in relation to fund public services
Personal qualifications:
- First degree or Advanced Diploma from government recognized Institution.
Duty station: Mafia District

Required skills & core competences
First Degree/Advanced Diploma in Sociology, Social Work or Development Studs /Political science with two years’ experience in youth development field related
Personal qualifications:
- Experience in advocacy and campaign work.
- Experience in working as volunteer and ability to be adaptable and flexible.
- Experience in young people mobilization in developing countries.
- Coordination of young people movements/ networks/alliances.

Position Title: Inspirator on Decent Work and Economic Opportunities Unguja Local Rights Program
Roles:
- Influence budget increase for youth economic empowerment and decent employment policies and strategies in place at local and national level
- Strengthen capacities of the Local Rights Programs and partners staff on decent work and economic opportunities and its linkages to related policies.
Roles:
- Enhance meaningful participation of young men and women in decision making processes through mobilization and engagement in the existing government structures, and governance processes.
Required skills & core competences:
- Knowledge on youth development issues and youth development policy of the country
Personal qualifications:
- First degree/Advanced Diploma in Sociology, Social Work or Development Studies with two years’ experience in youth development related fields including economic opportunities and policy works
Duty Station: Unguja
Position Title: Inspirator on Civic Participation Empowerment for Pemba Local Rights Program
Roles:
- Enhance meaningful participation of young men and women in decision making processes through mobilization and engagement in the existing government structures, and governance processes
- Enhance the knowledge and skills of Pemba Youth Voice Organization to be able to engage with communities and government in demanding their rights
- Support partners to carry out action research to establish evidence for advocacy and campaigning
Required skills & core competences Minimum 3 years of experience in the following
- Advocacy and campaigns, Youth and Women Rights
- Training and Facilitation skills including participatory methodologies, Documentation
- Good analytical skills, Communication skills
- Knowledge on MEL systems and framework and ability to do fund raising mechanisms
Personal qualifications:
- First degree or Advanced Diploma in social science is essential coupled up with experience in project management
Duty station: Pemba
