Gauteng Education Phase 1 Online Application Close Tomorrow. The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) wishes to remind parents and guardians that the Phase 1 2022 Online Admissions application period will close tomorrow on Friday, 3 September 2021 at midnight.
We can confirm that as of today, Thursday, 2 September 2021, a total of 301 510 successful applications were recorded.
Accordingly, the Phase 1 online applications period specifically targeted parents and guardians whose children are currently in Grade 7 at public schools in Gauteng and will be going to Grade 8 in 2022.

We are indebted to parents and guardians who have managed to successfully apply and wish to encourage those who did not apply to do so urgently.

“We urge parents and guardians who had already applied to urgently upload the required documents online or submit them at the school(s) they applied to,” said MEC Lesufi.
Gauteng Education Phase 2 Online Application
It is important to note that the Phase 2 online application period will begin on 13 September 2021 and this will be for parents and guardians of children going to Grade 1 and Grade 8 in 2022, but are not in a public school in Gauteng. Phase 2 will subsequently end on 8 October 2021.
