Going Global 2021

As the uncertainty around the ongoing pandemic persists, we want to continue to offer a platform for higher education leaders to discuss the pressing issues facing the sector today without compromising the health and safety of our staff and delegates. Therefore we will be delivering a virtual conference in June 2021 which will offer all the same benefits as attending in person.

Our virtual platform will allow you to engage and connect with education leaders from around the world. You will be able to:

  • attend live events delivered by sector experts where you’ll hear about the latest knowledge and trends affecting the higher education sector;
  • get involved in participant-led interactive sessions where you can make your voice heard, and exchange knowledge and best practice;
  • network with other delegates and make mutually beneficial connections;
  • move in and out of conference sessions just like a face-to-face event;
  • visit expo booths, engage with our sponsors, and more.

British Council now invite you to submit a proposal that addresses the conference theme and sub-themes.

British Council review all submissions to ensure that we maintain the highest quality and include the broad range of research, practice and policy which will be of interest to our conference audience. Each proposal will be reviewed by tertiary education experts prior to being presented to the Going Global Steering Committee who will decide on the content going forward into the virtual conference programme.

Please review the proposal guidelines  prior to developing your proposal in order to ensure that your proposal content meets our criteria.

There are four types of proposal which can be submitted. Please apply via the online submission forms available in the table below. Sample versions of the application forms are available in the Downloads section below. Please note these are for reference only.

If you have any questions regarding your proposal please contact the Going Global 2021 team .
